If you or your family needs food, please come by. We always have canned food, bread, and fresh produce at no cost.

Five student volunteers and some of their moms (above photo) came to staff the food line on Monday, March 12, 2018. They represented Vista Ridge and Westwood high schools, Gorzycki Middle School, and Cowan Elementary School. What a great way for them to start off their week of Spring Break. They helped to serve sixty-three family units that came out for food that morning in Southeast Austin – an economically impoverished area of Austin.
The food bank’s truck comes to the Parker Lane UMC parking lot every second Monday morning of the month. We need volunteers to work the food line, the parking lot, and the sign-in process. Set-up starts at 8:00 a.m. and the line serves food from 9:00-10:00 a.m. The food bank tells us that the Parker Lane UMC’s ZIP Code – 78741 – is underserved with only a handful of food pantries.
